ENGAGEMENT

Engagement is the number one trait of high performing individuals and teams.

Through our own experience of building engaged, high performing teams, we know what it takes to be an engaging leader.  It requires a set of skills, some of which run counter to traditional ways of managing thinking.

The key consideration is that you can't make people engage with their work.  You have to create an environment that encourages people to become engaged, and that starts with your own way of interacting with them.

These are learnable skills that can transform your life, and your personal and team results.

Engaged teams:

  • Don't waste time on distration activities that drain productivity
  • Communicate openly and honestly - they don't hold back
  • Have an air of mutual respect and trust
  • Take initiative and fix problems quickly
  • Have a shared focus on achieving team goals
  • Have fun whilst also being deadly serious about results

We take engagement very seriously and actively support the CIPD's Engage For Success initiative.
